Our Story
Our “adventure” into the provision of high quality affordable student accommodation started back in 1999. At this time our son was studying in Plymouth and so we started the search to find suitable accommodation for him and his Uni mates. Fair to say, we were pretty horrified at what we found. Plenty of houses, yes, but on the whole they were expensive, poorly maintained and excluded all bills.
As students our son’s group were anxious to find accommodation that was not only comfortable but also provided a higher degree of cost certainty and at this time there didn’t appear to be anything that ticked all the boxes. In light of this we set about investigating the key points that would add a degree of certainty and relieve the stress of living away from home. We came up with a concise list:
** Affordable rent
** 11 month tenancies
** Grade A accommodation
** All inclusive i.e. gas, electric, water (& laterly television, TV licence and broadband)
Needless to say we couldn’t find any accommodation that met our criteria and so we set about building our own small property portfolio to address this. We purchased our houses in 2000 and 2002. Unlike anything available at the time we set about developing an “all inclusive” 11 month tenancy package so our tenants could relax, enjoy their home and most importantly be free to focus on their studies.
So here we are some 24 years and 350+ successful tenancies later, able to offer two ‘A’ Rated student accommodation houses in Mutley, Plymouth. These are available for rent direct from us, private landlords Steve & Jackie Wilson. Managed by the us our aim is to provide excellent accommodation at affordable “all-inclusive” rents to enable you to have a stress free home environment whilst undertaking your studies.
